Oct ~ Niagara Falls Marathon, Niagara Falls NY and Canada: At mile 25.5 it was on like Donkey Kong, For more on this great race click here:
Oct ~ Crawlin Crab Half Marathon, Hampton, VA: My second running of this half and the wheels came off the bus. For more on this great race click here:
Sept ~ 12 Hour Adventure Run, Prince William Forest, Triangle, VA: A winding, rolling and Challenging combination of single track trails, fire roads and hills. When you weren't running on the well groomed trails you were challenged by climbing over rocky passes, tree roots, quad pounding descents and the ever popular suspension bridge crossing. Aug ~ Medoc Mountain Meltdown 50k plus, Medoc Mountain State Park Holister, NC: A Fat A_ _ event, this 50k (34.4 miles) had the billing as being nearly to tough to tame, well I took my shot at it...you can read about the battle in the full race report which can be read here.
May ~ Cleveland Marathon, Cleveland, Ohio: My plan going into this marathon (my 10th) was to take a stab at the sub 4 hour marathon...it all went well until...Race report can be read here.
April ~ 24 Hour Run for Cancer, Hampton, VA: At this years Virginia 24 Hour Run for Cancer I fielded a team. The last 3 years I ran this event solo and just for "Fun." This year we were going for the win...and Race report can be read here.
April ~ Monument Ave 10K, Richmond, VA: My second running of this large scale 10k, 40,000 runners/walkers and the PR streak continued. I turned this 10k in 46m 21s official chip time! A PR/PB by 21 seconds and a full 2m 28s faster then last year! Michele also power walked this event to a blistering PR 1h 19m 28s. The Race report can be read here.
March ~ Shamrock Marathon, Virginia Beach, VA: My third running of this marathon and another cold/windy race at the beach front. The good of it all...a PR! Read about my battles with the conditions and success against the clock here.
Feb ~ Virginia is For Lovers 14K, Virginia Beach, VA: Michele and I ran this race together, she power walked it and I ran. Tough day as there was a cold wind a blowing, I finished in 1h 10m 06 seconds and Michele came home in 1h 53m 00s a full race report can be seen here.
Jan-Feb ~ Tidewater Striders Distance Series, Virginia Beach, VA: 2 races at Dismal Swamp State Park, stretched each race to meet marathon plan; 20k = 15.4 miles, and the 30k = 20.58 miles

Week 10 on the road to MCM I needed a 20 mile run…a friend and I ran 7 miles before this event then seamlessly ran the race, finished in 1h 59m 15s
28-29 Sept ~ Colonial 200 Relay Charlottesville to Jamestown, VA: A team of five and Myself took on this 206.83 mile, 36 leg run overnight challenge, our team finished in 35h 15ms. What a great adventure.
20 May ~ Run for the Dream Half Marathon, Williamsburg, VA: Needing a race and a 20 mile run…2 friends and I ran 7 miles before this event then seamlessly ran the race, finished in 1h 57m 58s
14 Apr ~ Saint Charles Running Festival 10 Miler, Waldorf, MD: Michele ran the 5k and I ran the 10 miler over some hilly roads, scored a PB 1h 23m 49s

Jan-Feb ~ Tidewater Striders Distance Series, Virginia Beach, VA: 3 races at First Landing State Park, ran with Susan, we stretched each race to meet our marathon plan; 20k = 16 miles, 25k = 20 miles and the 30k = 22 miles
1 Jan ~ Sentara New Year's Day 5K, Hampton Roads, VA: Susan C has been running this race since her cancer recovery...this year Michele and I wanted to share it with her. Michele (244) finished in 42m & I (243) at 24m 16s

17 Dec ~ Sea Shore Nature Trail 50K, First Landing State Park, Virginia
Beach, VA: First 50K, I was struggling at 20 miles...was
ready to give up. Not wanting a DNF, I headed back out on the course and
powered walked the next 5 miles and managed to run/walk the closing 5 to finish
in 6h 49m and was very humbled

11 June ~ XTERRA Half Marathon, Richmond, VA: An opportunity to experience “legendary” root slipping, mud hopping, tree ducking, river crossing, hill climbing, dirt on your shirt/shoes and sweat in your eye trail run, finished in 2h 28m 09s

17 - 18 Apr ~ 24-Hour Ultra Marathon, Sandy Bottom Nature Park, Newport News, VA: 2nd time running this event, and you have not lived "a runners life" until you've run an Ultra....will not be my last! Completed 50 miles in 12.5 hours
